Car show this weekend 3 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
The BKC will promote the great sport of karting and our organization this weekend at the Cavalcade of cars show in Hamburg at the Ag center. karts from Rich meyers, Dave Evans, Mike Schlager and myself will be on display. I will be involved with the Pinstripers convention for charity so Vice president Hank kacala will be on hand to take my place. Stop by to check out our display and watch me scribble on cool stuff with my paint brush. See you there!

I'll be there all three days except for saturday afternoon. I need to leave at 3:30-4pm. The karts will be attended by club members all three days.

The show just ended and we had many folks stop by and ask questions about karting and the organization. Having the karts in a show is a great way to show what kartings all about. The point is, it was well worth the entry fee. I'd like to thank, Dave Evans and Rich Meyers for their karts and time. Mike Schlager talked to anyone who would listen and boy, did they listen. Jim Simpson put some time in on Saturday and Hank Kacala was there all three days and hauled my kart to and from along with all the show stuff. Even in this tough economy there is quite an interest in the sport. I'm looking forward to a great season.

This weekends show was a great success for the BKC.Even though President Jim Pelletterie was busy at the show all weekend striping(one p only),he still found time to talk to many potential future karters.Local WNY pinstripers were striping for a great charity cause,The Buffalo Area Center for Children with Disabilities.Thank-you Jim and all WNY stripers who participated.Vice President Hank Kacala and Mike Schlager spent many hours over the 3 days, talking to interested parties.Hank you are absolutely tireless. Mike is there anybody you don't know? Willie and I had the ever important job of making certain all the concession food was fit for human consumption. It ALL was.The Batavia Kart Club is alive and well.
