This Sunday marks the Batavia Kart Club's first-ever "TAG TEAM" event. I will briefly explain what will happen this coming weekend.
1. Senior drivers (World Formula Light and Heavy) will put their names in a hat.
2. Junior drivers (Junior 1 and Junior 3) will select a senior driver's name out of the hat. This combination will form a team.
3. The team with highest total points based on their finish in their class will be declared the winner of the "TAG TEAM" event.
We have alternate plans in the event there is an uneven number of senior drivers to junior drivers or vice-versa. This will clearly be explained by Jim P. and myself during Sunday's drivers' meeting. We will have a tie-break system in place, and this will also be explained during the drivers' meeting.
The Batavia Kart Club will furnish the following awards to the top three teams:
1. First Place - Each driver will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from American Power Sports.
2. Second Place - Each driver will receive a $20.00 gift certificate from American Power Sports.
3. Third Place - Each driver will receive a $10.00 gift certificate from American Power Sports.
The points earned by each team will not count toward our season total points. Our normal points system will be used based on finishing order just like any other race. If you have any questions, please bring them to Sunday's drivers' meeting. Hopefully, we have full participation from all the members for this fun event.
