JANUARY 4TH, remember that date. The next important meeting that you will probably miss will be on January 4th. We need to find a location on January 4th that will hold everyone so stay tuned.
First, thanks to VP Jim Simpson for taking minutes and typing them. We had nomination for officers for next year. Mr Simpson, Cheryl Carney and myself were nominated to continue in our current positions. All of us accepeted the nomination. Nominated for public relations was Mike Polizzi and I'm happy to report that he will accept. Adam patro was nominated for secretary but has greatfully declined. Nominations and elections will be held on January 4th.
many issues were discussed such as promotion of the club and karting thru two local car shows. I am working on the details. Also discussed was the current status of the track as we are going forward with a tenitive schedule. We will not be joining the valley challange as it was decided that it was not adventageous but we would like to run a home & home series with the good folks at Avon.
starting next season there wil be engine tech as we want everyone playing by the same rules. This subject was tabled but will be revisited at the next meetings.
We need a starter and possibly a head scorer along with a secretary. many other issues were talked about and we will revisit them at as later date. Right now a few of us have a little research work to do so that we can report back on JANUARY 4TH

As far as location ,give ALI a call at Ajs granprix he has a conference room and he's next to the 290.Also maybe you could contact someone from the GVKC board of directors to see if they could attend.with low kart counts it only makes sense to try and align classes.

On January 4th a very important meeting for the BKC will take place at the Days Inn in Batavia. Meeting time will be 12:30. Please be on time. Election of officers will take place along with many other details that need to be settled at this meeting. Oh yea, refreshments will be served. This is the first meeting of the new year and dues will be accepted.

I can't believe I missed the meeting! Still in holiday mode, I guess. Sorry.

Peter, don't feel bad your not alone. We had very low participation at this meeting even though we bought pizza for the crowd. Unfortunatly for those not in attendance the folks who were there will dictate how the proceed for the race season. The schedule and rule package is almost finalized. As soon as Vice President Simpson sends me the latest minutes I will give a more detailed report.

Thanks to Mr Simpson I will give you the highlights of the january meeting. Members in attendance elected Jim Simpson vice President, Cheryl Carney Treasurer, Mike polizzi public relation chair and myself President. We are still looking for a secretary although MaryLou Hoyt has been nominated for the position as we await her acceptance. The race schedule has been sent to Bob for his additions. We will race a 21 race season with in three series as we did last season.
We have been working on self promotion thru car shows and Mike Polizzi has secured a date in the Walden Galleria for a kart show.
We will be racing in the rain! all rain races will be on the league track. We also want to race supermoto as a class. All supermoto riders are invited to race on sundays with the karts(Asphalt only).
All animal and world formula engines will be teched and sealed. now before you throw a fit we are going to make the process easy. We will have two people measure your engine and seal it. The measurements are NOT wka specs. All engines must be as manufactured without any machine work or "blueprinting" We are working out the details.
Mike polizzi has initiated a system for paying in advance. You only pay for the point races and the other races are free.
I would like to start another event possibly during the off season to promote the club and as a possible fund raiser. Any ideas will be appreciated.
