I spoke with David LaValley Of Holland MotorSports Complex today. He stoped at the dealership for promotional sales and I asked him about running karts at Holland. He said they would be interested. They have a figure 8 track in the infeild. It may give us another track to race at. He said we should give him a call.

PS I'm not saying we should run figure 8s but we could use that and maybe some other infeild area to set a small corse. I will try to find some arial shots and maybe come up with a circuit.

Holland is a great track I agree but the transition from the infield to the oval would not be a smooth one

It'll be hard to tell what we could and couldn't use until the snow melts and we can get out there. The satellite image from google maps isn't very detailed.

Along these lines and taking off from the SCCA thread, is there any chance of doing a race on a temporary course in a parking lot? We might have a look at the places the SCCA uses.

I know they race at ECC north campus. The Fingerlakes region races at an old airforce base in rochester I think. What about a small local airport? We could rent the runway. Didn't we have a plan to race at Dunn Tire Raceway(Lancaster Speedway)? Their are a lot of local possibilities that might keep cost down. just kicking out ideas.

They used to also use the lot near the Governer's dorm complex at UB in the summer.

The biggest trouble racing on your own at any non-setup track is the Insurance you will need and the cost of the same.
I heard many places are not letting the car clubs run in there parking lots anymore because of liability issues.
