The first race of the 2010 season is in the books and what a race it was. If you listen to the weather forcasters you would have stayed home but for the ten member racers who defied the weather gods a great time was to be had. The Avon track is a fun drive and not as physically demanding as our track. Everyone had to do the gear change shuffle and scuff in the new tires to get the best preformance. The race program was run very effeciantly with plenty of practice built in. We ran three classes with the WF lite feature very tight as it has been over the years. One of our new racers Taylor Litto (Danica)not only competed for the first time but took first place with an exceptional drive. Nice job Taylor and crew. I could have won going away with the WF masters but Jim Simpson forgot to tighten bolts and went off the track and I had to slow down to avoid a shunt. I actually beat somebody, making it a positive day for me. I know there are a lot of karts sitting in garages. The time has come to dust them off and check them over and come to the track. The racing this year is actually less expensive from previous years. I saw a lot of smiles at the award ceremony I'd like to see yours. The finishing order for may 2nd. It was a awsome day looked liked everybody had fun besides a few mechanical issues.
I talked to jess on the way home and he said it was a tuff race maybe Mr Hoyt would have one if he drank another ENSURE (Only kidding).Thanks for the great time.
Congrats to all our winners!! It was a great day and the racing was tight. Another season of close finishes and lots of excitement awaits. Jess it was a blast racing with with and thanks for the lesson. As for your crew chief, I am not much of an Ensure guy (Coke is my drink of choice) but a little Enzyte never hurt anyone.
