I"m going to address this topic at the meeting but before this gets out of hand I had a long talk with Walt Curtis who will supply tires if we want. He looked into vegas and burris tires. The prices were not really any better than the bridgestones. Other area tracks are using the YHC as their club tire so that would mean that if you wanted to race at another venue you would need to buy a set of tires to race. Another point is that many of our members purchase bridgestone tires online from other racers who use them for a short time. Vegas or Burris tires are rarely forsale. It seems that the YHC is the national club tire in this country. Purchasing a off brand tire like a conti would put us on a island. Walt has sent me the prices for a set of YHCs. If you order and pay before april 7th the tires will be 150.00 for a set of 450/450 160.00 for 450/600 and 165.00 for 450/710 this includes shipping but tax will need to be paid. for more info contact walt at 585-370 5559 I will be addressing this topic futher at the meeting
Remember you can purchase tires anywhere you want but as of this writing the bridgestone is the only tire approved by the membership.
