I know there are a bunch of karts out there just waiting to put a smile on some drivers face. One a beautiful sunshiney day ya gotta ask, where are those karts. For the karts and drivers who decided that there was no better place to be than in Avon today the weather gods smiled down and the racing was great. Both Payton and Jake decide that they would jump to a gold plate to even them out a bit. The extra weight on Paytons kart was an eyeopening experience for him as his trusty mount handled like a dump truck but his three years of experience trumped Jake's three race effort. Athough Jake is driving well he has a bit of catching up to do. I was very proud of the way our WF lite drivers raced today. In the first heat Taylor led flag to flag but she had a wild bunch of guys directly behind her but no one made a offensive move to ruin her race. They raced like your supposed to, waiting for the opportunity and not driving thru. The WF lite feature was thrilling as Nick took the early lead and held it until the final corner of the last lap when Will pushed his machine pass by a few inches with Mr Hoyt in the mix. It was the best race of the day by any class. The WF masters had Bill and the cheater pulling away from me with Jeff directly behind and Don doing his best to dial in his handling. At the finish Mr Simpson took top honors. Next up is Cherry valley. Maybe those karts will make an escape to the race track.
