Well it wasn't really beaver run but it was avon and just a few members made the trip. The pit area was scarce of race karts as the threat of rain kept the racers away. It was a strange race day to say the least as we took to the track for a warm up in damp conditions. A light rain shower soon followed as the race director wanted the club from batavia to run in the rain. We did, on slicks and I spun in the grass. Rick had a good first heat and Dan Porter got really wet. Taylor decided that it wasn't her thing so she bowed out. As soon as we finished the heat They asked if we would put on a rain setup and race again. We did, twenty laps. I spun twice and got lapped by Rick. My kart was making a terrible scraping sound so I pulled off with six laps left, a little lighter from missing floor pan bolts. Dan lost a chain a few laps after and Rick the cheater won. Poor Danica never got a chance to race as the program was cancelled but we got our races in. It was fun racing in the rain but you do get wet. I found it ironic that the club from avon went home without turning a wheel but we did.
