I have had quite a few inquires about this subject. Unfortunatly I know about as much as you. I heard about it a few day ago and thought it was the track next to ours but I guess I was wrong. I will call Bob to get more information and as soon as I know so will you. See you at the track.

I found out the other day myself. Just to be clear BIMP is not me, I am KBM Motorsports and am not involved with the filing. I am trying to get as much info as possible. My lawyer told me to just keep doing business as usual, that whatever happen it will take a long time, and there is nothing I can do about it.

I guess what we really need to find out is if the track is considered an "exempt property" or an asset to be sold. This is a Romeo thing. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

The news of this is very disturbing after all the work we've done over the past few months and for what it seems to be for nothing! Ive talked to some people about chapter 7 who have gone through it and from what they tell me it doesnt take that long. They told me once you file about 30 days you go to court and depending on the situation its final with in another 30 days . So I guess what im saying is we probably have 1-2 months left of racing in batavia. Well not much more to say just very dissapointing for all of us the karters and supermoto guys and especially Bob. Who put a lot into the track in the last year trying to grow the 2 sports together. All for nothing Thanks a Bunch !

After talking with Bob there is not much we can do except go on with the race program until we're told other wise. Bob has invested his money on the league karts and has a year lease with an option for another year. All this will play out in court so we will have to support the race series and hope for the best.

Maybe all will go well and the track will be put up for auction and someone that knows how to run a business will buy it!

Reading the local paper here in batavia there was an article about romeo filing chapter 7 and in the article it stated he owed 12,000 in back taxes and that the telephone have been shutoff at the track and that he has to liquidate all his assests. Not sure whats gonna happen but when it does I have this feeling we are gonna show up and this place will be locked up tight. Not saying we are giving up but I've been exploring options with other tracks and stuff just to keep our options open. See ya all at the races

Which Romeo did the article mention, and which one actually owns the track? Did the article mention the track specifically, or just discuss the shortfalls of the BIMP organization?

Once we have better clarification on these we might have more idea of what's to come, but until then everything regarding the outcome of the track is pure speculation.

We just need some facts.

yes eric the article did mention romeo the track owner and it did specify batavia international motorsports park as an asset to him. and it also said all his assets would have to be liquidated it also gave amount on which he owes also but cant remember the exact amount.

I'm sure Bob and a few others out there can correct me if I'm wrong, but here's the part you may not understand.

There's Mike Romeo who last ran the track before Bob, and Gino Romeo, Mike's father, who ran the track before Mike. We know Gino owned the track before Mike came in. We know there were/are businesses for Romeo Motorsports, and Batavia International Motorsports Park, Inc., both owned by the Romeos. We don't know if there was a transfer of ownership of the track from Gino to Mike. We don't know which business the track is listed under.

So, here are the questions to be answered.
1. Does Gino own the track, or does Mike?
2. Is the track a part of the Romeo Motorsports business, or the BIMP, Inc business? Just because the track is named BIMP, doesn't mean its being run under that business name as well.
3. Which Romeo owns BIMP, Inc (the business) thats going to be liquidated?
4. If the track is not under the BIMP, Inc business, what at the track is, and how liquidation of these items affect our operations?

Until we can get any real facts about whats going on, just come out and race.
