Does anyone in our club have a 2013 WKA rulebook? I'm curious about the need to pin the axle to pass tech. I was allowed to run safety wire through the axle to a wheel stud, but I was told "it's in the rulebook". It's not in GVKC's rulebook. I've seen a couple things online. First is that IKF requires some kind of secondary system for making sure the hub doesn't come off. It looks like a set screw through the hub into the keyway is what's required there. The second is that Gold Cup rules require a C-clip on the end of the axle. There's some debate as to wether either of those rules is still in effect. It also appears that there's no requirement for WKA 2-cycle, meaning I'd need to do something for WF but not TAG.
Pretty much every conversation I've seen about this online recommends NOT drilling the axle.
