I have started a new thread because this is important. It seems that everyone will be regulated to secure the rear hubs on the axle. In most instances this is a non-issue but most of our karts did not pass tech at Avon. If you have a snap ring retainer groove on your axle and you have enough room you can simply install the snap rings and your good. If your hubs extend passed the end of the axle you can either drill and tap the hub to install a set screw just above the key-way groove. With this method you can shorten up the key and screw the set screw down until it just touches the axle. The other methods is to run a length of wire or cable through the axle and secure the ends to a wheel stud. The last method is to drill a small hole in the end of the axle and twist a bit of safety wire through it but this will only work if the hubs are not all the out passed the end of the axle. If someone has a better method please let us know. drilling holes while at the track is not a favorite thing to do. This is a very gray area with the WKA and IKF but in-order to make your race day better please address this issue.
