Well it was different! 8.58 sec. at 74.9 mph It was cold and slippery out there, but fun!

Shame I couldn't make it Mike, I was in Detroit until late last night.

i was at NYIRP last night and it was pretty busy, and the traction was pretty good considering it was 50 degrees out!! i clicked off a 8.23 @ 160.5mph in the 1/4 with my race bike.

Unfortunately they don't hand out time slips on Wednesday so no 60's.Actually the 1.69 ratio from Batavia was just about perfect. I was only geared for a max of 78.7MPH and hit 75. I could have changed gears and probably gone faster, plus I jetted rich to avoid sticking it in the cold air.

You can run just about anything for $5 a trip down the speedway. The first run was a solo and my Buddie said the crowd was really cheering it up. Second run was against a Supermoto 450...He was faster.Reaction times were terrible as I was just trying not to stall it or put it in the wall off the line. Old tires, Not easy to heat them with a burn out.

One guy on a Chopper passed me in the pits and said seeing the kart run made his whole night.

That sounds awesome. Let me know when your going again. I'd like to stop out and cheer you on.

Lancaster is actually one of the few tracks in NY that i have never raced at before.

NYIRP is $10 on wednesday nights and you can get probly 10+ runs in without a problem. I dont know if they will let a kart go down there track but i can ask if you are interested?? i dont see any reason why they wouldnt allow it since snowmobiles, and motocross bikes with street tires and quads with street/race tires have all been allowed to go down the track in the past. you would for sure need to change gears to run 1/4 mile though!!!!!

Well I guess since there is no charge to get in (no coolers allowed, concession stands are open) they have to make money somehow. There were about 100 or so cars running and 20-30 assorted bikes,quads,ATV's...Kart.

NYIRP is $10 total, race or spectate. you can bring in coolers, grills, ETC. if your looking to make more race runs NYIRP is a way better deal if your near the area. sounds like the lancaster deal is half car show and do some racing if ya want! i like the scenery on the webapge you listed!!!!

Entry into the park is free, No coolers allowed they make there money on concessions. Gates open at 6:00pm

Directions:

From NYS Thruway: Take exit 49 (Depew), pay toll and turn left on Rt. 78 North. First stop light, turn right onto Wehrle Drive. Take Wehrle 3 miles down and turn right onto Gunnville Road. Raceway Park is on left hand side.

From Buffalo: Take Genesee Street (Route 33 East) past Buffalo Airport 3 miles on Route 33 past Transit Road, turn left onto Gunnville Road. Raceway Park is alongside Thruway, immediately on right

i wont be making it there, i will most likely be at NYIRP on wed trying to get into the 4 second zone in the 1/8th on my bike. I'm finally getting a handle on my clutch setup with this new motor so hopefully this week i can dial it in a little better and step up on the ET's and get it ready for the national race next month.
