Update by the Prez:
Another great race day for the BKC. The weather looked a bit ominous in the morning as we drove to Lafayette NY and Cherry Valley speedway. A few sprinkles in the morning could not dampen the enthusisam to get on the track. The track dried and the racing was hot as the CV circuit is challanging with its long straight leading into a very tight hairpin. I'd like to thank everyone who made the trek and made the race day special. The folks who run the track were impressed with our machinery and drivers and cannot wait to host us again. I am puzzled by some members and pass members who have quality equipment but prefer to look at it in the garage. We are running a shorter season and the race day fees have been lower this season than previous years. The switch to Burris tires has been a plus with lower cost and excellent wear. This year all our drivers will become much better behind the wheel because of the different venues we race on. Lets dig out the kart and check it out and go kart racin. Hope to see you at the track. Congradulation to the winners, Payton, Taylor, Nick and the cheater Jim Simpson. Rick bad luck Hoyt installed a new and very expensive connecting rod in his engine between heats to make the feature. Nice job rick!
