WF Heavy Rule Question? 4 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 2
Does this rule:

18.11.6 - Clutch
The spec premier titan clutch must be utilized in the senior class. No altering or modification allowed. Stock springs must be used.

Does this mean that we MUST use the Stock Orange Springs in our WF Heavy Class Clutch?

Our Clutches come from Briggs with Orange Springs and I would think that is all we should and can use.

Jim or Jim can you post a reply so we are all on the same page?

The clutch must be use as supplied by premier. The clutches are delivered with orange springs and must be utilized. The clutch cannot be altered in any way except for the drive gear which can be any tooth and either 219 or 35 pitch.

I disagree, should be able to use any stock Premier Titan spring. By the way we have the orange springs in Bobby's clutch. But if I run Sr Animal there is no way I am going to engage the clutch at 4,200 rpm.

No one has ever commented on the rev limiters but we do listen for them. We can check the rev limiters on a weekly basis or randomly. As far as the springs are concerned the rules state that the stock orange springs must be used but I see your point Bob. I think we could revisit the clutch rule and make the necessary adjustments

It should be easy enough to check the rev limiters provided everyone is using the PVL ignitions. It has a different plug boot and, if I recall, the color was different. The plug wire is also very short and you can see the ignition clearly.

If they're not using the PVL ignition, I have a meter the club can borrow that can check that the limiting is occurring at the proper RPM.

I have a question about points. I ran the first race of the summer series and broke during the feature warm up lap. Do I get last place points? I feel I should.

I also have a suggestion. If you come out to help and don't race you should get some sort of points bonus. This way if you brake and can't race or just need to recover from a late saturday night there is incentive to show up at the track.

Adam, it looks like they have you down incorrectly as being in WF Light. I'm sure Eric will sort it out fairly quick...

Adam, here's what the rules are on points:

QUOTE:
15.7 - Points Eligibility
At all BKC events, entrant must take the green flag for the Main Event, go through scoring at least once and weigh-in receive points. Entrants must weigh in after each event and it is the driver's responsibility to make certain that scale personnel checks and records weight after event.

So it looks like that if you don't take the green, no points. Pretty standard stuff.

BTW, for new topics such as this, please create a new thread next time.
