Potential racer days? 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 2
I was talking to our friend Dave Evans the other day and he brought up a great point. With out the use of the old Indy racing league what is the best way to get people into a kart to see if they like it.This made me think about a scheduled "Try Karting Day" or something to that effect. I know we all cherish our racing machines, but could we get a few karts out to the track and let potential racers take them out for some laps

If we were to do an introductory course followed by sessions with one of the members pacing the field around the track for X number of laps. Maybe $100.00 deposit ( say $70.00 refundable at end of day) and a signed waiver making the driver responsible for any damages.

I think this merits discussion. Lets here your thoughts!

Not a bad idea that needs to be explored further.

Driving School info:

MXK Racing offers and 'Introduction to Karting' program.
They supply the track, racing kart, helmet, jacket, instruction, and timing system.

You guys should check it out. I'm sure they would work with the club.
Just thought you would like to know.
