The preseason spring meeting will include a discussion of our race schedule and the state of the organization. We have some new racers that need to be informed on race procedure and karting in general. I want to do a seminar on safety for the driver and your equipment. I also would like to do a tech seminar on squaring your kart and setting the front end. Any and all questions will be answered. Bring a note pad. I am looking forward to meeting our new racers and support staff along with all our members. We will be accepting membership dues during the day. I hope the weather is good enough to work outside but we have access to an indoor meeting if necessary.
We should post something on the home page about the seminar. There may be people interested who haven't signed up or haven't been able to sign up for the board.
We should maybe think about starting an email list as well. That way we can push out information without haing to rely on people actively coming to the website to see it.
I'd like to thank the members who attended the meeting along with the new members. It was delightful to see the enthusisiam. The scedule will include 12 races with the last race in october a non-points poker race. Two drops are allowed during the season. The tires are ordered and as soon as they arrive they will be available. I need to thank vice President Hank Kacala for hauling his trailer and kart for a seminar that never got going. Dan Porter offered to be the safety tech inspector. Please make sure all bolts are wired or cotter pinned. Remember if something falls off while racing you will receive a black flag. See you on may 1st in Avon.
