Avon Recap 1 Year, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Just wanted to put up a recap for everyone who missed the race today. Seemed like there was only a few members who showed up. It was a beautiful day at the Avon speedway, alittle hot, but not to bad in the shade. As for the racing, with such a small field the WF lights and heavys ran together and we tried our best to put on a good show with such a limited amount of people. The jr's ran good also, unfortunately payton suffered from some stomach sickness so he dropped out early, leaving jake with the win. I forgot to charge the camera fully so i only got the start of the 2nd heat on video. On another note, I personally along with acouple others who ran in the Formulas were alittle upset about the starts, as we seemed to crawl across the line and still were never given a greeen flag. I dont think that anyone wants to burn out a clutch anytime soon, so the next time there that might want to be addressed. Hope everyone had a fun day, either at the track or somewhere else!

Yeah the starts were too slow. All we are doing is blipping the throttle without any clutch lockup, and it's hard to get a fair start. I think some unnecessary clutch wear too. No need to get bent out of shape with the kid, but we really need to make sure the start is reasonable.

My videos will be up on my YouTube account tonight.

Yea it was just the fact that when i tried to say something the first time he ignored it, then i said something to him again with my dad there, and he was still cocky about it.

Sorry we were unable to make the show today but we had a large family function and that needed to take presidence. I'm suprised the starter let you start so slow. He's done a great job on other occasions.

We're at the point where we can't maintain a consistent speed though. Karts are just rolling with blips on the throttle, and when the flag falls someone is going to get screwed.

Well it really is not a big of an issue as maybe i made it out to be ..but after going around in a circle about 3 times to start the race, it got to be a little ridiculous
