So while everyone else was home watching the Bills kick the Patriots..butt ..I represented the BKC, by participating in the yamaha pipe money race at Avon today. It was a really fun race, with fearsome competitors. I qualified 6th out of 11 karts which is pretty decent, and started and finished 3rd in the heat. Although with not having new tires, and a engine that hasn't been rebuilt in 6 years, we achieved our goal of a top 5 finish and got the payback of our entrance fee. The 20 lap feature was pretty brutal trying to save your energy all the way to the end, and about half way through the clutch started giving out and it didnt have much left in it. All in all it was a really fun day, racing with people you don't know and never raced before is fearing and fun at the same time. I hope next year we can get a better turnout and maybe even get some people from our club to give it a shot.
If anyone would like to watch the race, it'll be on youtube as soon as my computer can upload it, and i'll post it on here.
