The weather finally cooperated with us so that we could drive fast at Avon last Sunday. We are still missing a few racers but We had three good races. Rick Hoyt drives like he's on rails as Craig said while chasing him. Iron man Bill Salibury and his two-smoker was in the mix. Stroka racing did not make the main event as Payton hit the wall at the hairpin and collected his dad following close behind during the first heat race. Damage to both machines forced the two drivers to pack it in for the day. I had a great time chasing and being chased by Jeff during the day. Rookie Rachel Ries had a good drive and shows steady progress. Ricky Hoyt was the biggest cheater of the day as he blew by me only to find out he was 100 lbs lighter. Nice to see him doing so well. Will decided to park the WF and run the tag. Next up is a Friday night race at Bliss on the 26th of July. Running at Bliss is the opposite of running at Cherry Valley. the pace of the program is quick as the lap times. See you there!
