The weather was perfect for racing but not for waiting which we did most of the day as the GVKC hosted a regional race. Although the pits had ample room there are so many classes that it took all day to get thru them . We were the last to run and by that time the place looked like a parking lot. This race was the first for the DeCuzzi tires for many teams. I used up my Burris tires in Bliss so it worked out perfectly for me but I know there are a few members who still have good Burris tires. I was pleasantly surprised by the grip level although I was exceptionally slow all day. I have to do more research to find out the problem which I don't believe is the tires. Lauren was back from the left coast and decided to sit in the seat again before she heads for school. The three juniors did an outstanding job again running with the rest of the BKC. Rachel Ries drove all day with a cast on her wrist and did exceptionally well. Sean Droman came off the track with a smile on his face so I must assume he had a good day after gear issues early on. Don Stroka was on fire as he flew past me in all three races. usually Don and I run fairly tight but he was pulling away into the sunset. Rick Hoyt ran up front while bill and Jeff chased him. A good day but long but everyone had a good time. Finishing order Jr3 Payton, Sean, Rachel. WF med. Rick Bill, Jeff. WF masters Don, Jim P. Lauren ran on Burris tires and was ineligible for points.
