Disqualification will result for any item that has falls off the kart or driver during a race. An example but not limited to would be a muffler, air filter, neck collar, body part etc.

Money will be refunded to the protester if the engine is found to be illegal.
If legal, the engine owner will receive 50.00 of the protest fee.

FUEL INTEGRITY
In order to maintain fuel integrity, at the discretion of the race director a random draw of kart #’s at the drivers meeting will require those karts to grid without fuel in the tank for the feature race. Fuel will be provided at the required level.

Is the engine protest procedure in place of sealing WF engines as discussed two meetings back, or are we still sealing engines?

I was told that it is in place of sealing the engines by Jim Pelletterie.

it was decided by the membership to forgo teching and sealing engines because of the work involved. all engine should be run stock as they came out of the red box. if you have a blueprinted to WKA spec engine, it IS NOT LEGAL to race with the BKC. We have tech numbers for stock engines and will be using them if the need arises. The protest is a way to keep things in check and to give all racers a avenue to persue if they think there are improprities.

For your information. Because of Bridgestone's decision not to produce the YHC tire the YKC or the YHC will be the only tire legal for racing. We are working on testing a new tire for next season.

If we're going to all the trouble to switch tires, we should look into a compound that lasts maybe 1-2 more weekends. Cutting tire use is the easiest and least painful way to reduce operating costs.

Mike Burris has been kind enough to ship us some tires for testing. They are about the same as the YHC and one set is a bit harder.
