OK so after many hours of messing around, LFS demo is up on my computer now what?
And when do you get to turn off the auto shift?
whats a good time for the BMW F1 car or are you guys racing the tanks?  |

You have to buy a licence get full access to lfs. I'm interested if we can get a weekly or byweekly leage going.

This is true but I guess Eric, Ricky "TFS" and others have been using the demo version.

You certainly don't need the full version to race LFS online. Although I've owned it for years, and highly recommend it.
I set up a server on a night that we agree to race on. When anyone wants to hop on they can let me know and I'll get things going and get you the address, port and password to connect. Once you have this info, it doesn't change unless something goofy happens.

I am trying to get back to the computer. Lots of excuses but just no time. If I can get my best buddy Eric over this weekend I will get up to speed and also two or three other guys. We had a blast last winter. No chain failures!

Is there a way to log in to watch the race? This may draw more people in if we get one setup and they see it. I'm looking at wheels, the logitec seems like the most popular one. Just waiting to steal one on Ebay.

You can be spectator once you join a server. There's an option for it after you join a race I believe.
Just grab the demo and try. You don't need a wheel to watch a race. If you don't already have it, just click on the LFS link below.
Oh, one other thing - you'll have to create a free account on lfs.net to join a race. Don't worry, no spamming, or other annoyances.

i have the "lfs demo" for my computer and its pretty good. i'd b interseted doin a night of racing on your server i just need to know the server name and password. i hope you guys had a good banquet too, we unfortunatly could not make it, but theres always next year. -thanks from will and bill

I have down loaded the demo and it rocks. I have completed most of the trainings and a few short races against the ai. I think once I get a better handle on it I might buy a licence. I'm ready when you boys are. Pretty much any night after 9pm is good for me.

I didn't yet. I started with a mouse and keyboard set up then went out saturday and bought a usb game controler. I know that this is not as imersive as a wheel but at 1/10 the cost an effective substitute. I will up grade to a wheel eventualy. I like this one check it out.
